It’s Christmas Cookie Time!!! No…really. I know we just got done with Halloween, but it will be Christmas before you know it.
Every year, my husband loves giving away cookie boxes to a ‘lot’ of people. So…every Christmas, I put together about 30 – 3 lb. cookie boxes to give away. So, if you’re on board, let’s get started right after Thanksgiving and bake, bake, bake. Or, if you’re not crazy enough to take this on, maybe you’ll like one or two of them for a Cookie Exchange or maybe just ALL for you.
I like to make at least 10 different cookies – with a good balance – something for everyone. I usually pack 3 to 5 of each cookie in a small Ziploc bag (I love the Christmas color ones), put some colored tissue in the bottom of the box and load in the cookies. I think the ziplocs are important because I don’t like it when the flavors of the cookies mix and the sealed bags keeps everything fresher.
So, here’s this year’s gluten free cookie list. Click on the links for the recipes.
- Best Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Ever
- GF White Chocolate Peanut Butter Krispies
- Gluten Free Coconut Macaroons
- Toffee Butter Crunch
- Jumbo Gluten Free Gingersnaps
- Gluten Free Peanut Butter Blossoms
- Gluten Free Hazelnut Pistachio Biscotti
- Gluten Free Christmas Wreaths
- Gluten Free Sicilian Tetu – Clove-Scented Cookies
- Gluten Free Sugar Cookies – Snowmen and Santa
And, yep, I know some of them are already gluten free, but I love the balance of color and chocolate and nuts and shapes. This is a box of cookies that you would love to receive. Me too!
And, if there are any extras, I freeze them, but, unfortunately, that frozen cookie won’t stop me from eating it. My dentist should be on speed dial… Maybe next year I should make cookies I don’t like – oh – wait a minute – I don’t know any of those.
So…I’ll start this post with the Chocolate Chip and will get the rest of them up over the next several weeks.
