You’ve made it through the Christmas holiday – all the shopping and baking and parties and you’ve brought it to a big crescendo with a festive New Year’s Eve celebration. And, you’re not really into getting up, with that slight hangover, to make breakfast for that group that crashed at your house.
Well, this is the answer. You put it together the night before so all the deliciousness from the egg/milk/orange juice mixture is completely soaked into the sweet, pillow-y soft Hawaiian rolls. All that’s left is turning the oven on, moving it to a cookie sheet with melted butter, bake for 20 minutes while you have your cup of coffee, put out that real maple syrup and let people help themselves.
The perfect bread for this French Toast, with a hint of orange, is my recipe for Gluten Free Hawaiian Rolls, which recipe is here. If you can’t manage making the GF Hawaiian rolls, this Macadamia French Toast is great with any of your favorite gluten free breads.
And all my best to y’all (I still can’t get the hang of that Southern thing) in the New Year!!
